Minecraft Explorers Online

Kids can have fun and learn skills of strategy and team building while playing Minecraft. The Minecraft Course allows the students to work on a secure server and with only students attending the class. They will use command blocks, red stones, and more to create Adventure Maps, missions, or games. We provide logins required. Kids are using .EDU version of Minecraft that has awesome MODS and many extra features. Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, and use these resources to build special items to help in our adventures! Kids will grow in problem-solving and computational thinking as they play one of the most popular and dynamic games in history.

• 3D Printing
  3D printing, or additive manufacturing, is the construction for a three-dimensional object from a CAD model or digital 3D model. Join us for an enriching and fun learning session to understand the basics of 3D printing. In this 8 week online course, the students will learn 3D modeling and printing, converting images to 3D models, and critical basic concepts. The course will uncover the core processed behind 3D printing and reveal one of the most powerful capabilities of the 3D printing revolution - that it's accessible to anyone. *Note: You do NOT require a 3D printer to enroll in this course. We teach simulation of 3D objects and we can get it printed and shipped to you if you are interested. We have an option of a wide range of ages to join the course as we would like to give an opportunity for every student who did not have a chance to learn to code. Shibori cloth dyeing is a traditional Japanese hand-dyeing technique that uses an infinite number of ways to compress cloth to achieve dynamic, fascinating patterns. Tie dye is a method used to produce dyed patterns on cloth by tying parts of the cloth to shield it from dye. Students will get hands-on experience with these dyeing methods and then they will use their newly designed fabrics to hand sew items such as tote bags, pillows, and cloth napkins, and create fun wall hangings.
