Textiles - In Stitches! Sewing 101

Always wanted to learn how to sew? As good as a lesson from grandma, in our cool Textiles & Fiber Arts Class, learn to create a stitcher's best friend: an adorable strawberry pincushion! Customize a regular T-shirt by learning how to add a pocket to it, and jazz it up with some fun, floral embroidery. This class utilizes hand sewing; no sewing machine required. Projects: Strawberry Pincushion, Pocket T-Shirt, Embroidered Flowers This class requires a $35 kit.

• 3D Printing
  3D printing, or additive manufacturing, is the construction for a three-dimensional object from a CAD model or digital 3D model. Join us for an enriching and fun learning session to understand the basics of 3D printing. In this 8 week online course, the students will learn 3D modeling and printing, converting images to 3D models, and critical basic concepts. The course will uncover the core processed behind 3D printing and reveal one of the most powerful capabilities of the 3D printing revolution - that it's accessible to anyone. *Note: You do NOT require a 3D printer to enroll in this course. We teach simulation of 3D objects and we can get it printed and shipped to you if you are interested. We have an option of a wide range of ages to join the course as we would like to give an opportunity for every student who did not have a chance to learn to code.   Do you like to tell jokes, recite your favorite Shel Silverstein poem, tell your favorite stories, like "Caps for Sale", or "The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything"? Maybe you want to convince your parents to buy you a hamster, or tell about your BFF, your pet or your favorite grandparent. Do you like comedy or drama? You can do all this through "speech" or better known as "public speaking." This enrichment program will help you get rid of your jitters, shaky knees, and sweaty palms when you have to do presentations in your classroom.   Fun with Programming - Animation & Whack-a-Mole with JavaScript Have fun learning how to write computer programs! Students will learn the fundamentals of computer programming using the very popular language JavaScript, and will be able to immediately see the results of their code. Choose between 2 different projects in this class: Animation with JavaScript - Write code to create dynamic, animated digital art and web pages with images, shapes, sounds, and text. Stories and adventures will come to life when pictures are animated and sound effects are added! Whack-a-Mole Game with JavaScript - Create a carnival game, Whack-a-Mole, which will run in a web browser and utilize images, shapes, sound effects, and text. Learn code on how to smash the moles into submission!   In this program, we share the wonder and challenge of solving the 2x2 and 3x3 Rubik's cube with a competitive cuber who has participated in "Speed-Solving" cube competitions across the Bay Area with world champions like Max Park and Feliks Zemdegs. Our goal is to make learning how to solve the Rubik's cube fun and exciting.
