Summer Chess Camp with Mechanics' Institute

Summer Camp with Mechanics' Institute is a place where youngsters can learn, discuss, and play chess, share their ideas with other like-minded students. Each day, during the week will include working all facets of their game and expanding their critical thinking skills through puzzles, lectures, additional content, time to play, and discuss openly their thoughts and ideas with others. We also teach students the importance of sportsmanship and friendships through chess, and a week-long achievement tracking meant to encourage camaraderie and student interaction in a positive and supportive environment. Chess boards and pieces and all other equipment will be sanitized multiple times during the day, and strict measured will be enforced to secure a safe environment for the students.

Age Range: 5-14
